Policy Debate Overview
The Stanford National Forensic Institute offers national caliber summer debate programs for students of any level of experience. The Three Week programs are open to all students and each provide comprehensive preparation for the upcoming year of competitive policy debate. Choose between our traditional Core program, a balanced blend of lectures, seminars, research, and debate; or our new Accelerated program that provides the same great fundamentals as the Core program but with an incredible 6:1 student to staff ratio and a special emphasis on critiqued rounds. The Swing Lab is a special lab within the larger Three Week Accelerated program and is for advanced debaters who have previously attended another camp during the summer of 2008. The Four Week program adds an additional week to the standard Three Week Core or Accelerated programs. The Fourth Week focuses on technique and practice rounds, and gives students the chance to fully integrate the skills they have learned during the first three weeks of camp.
