Lincoln Douglas Debate Overview

The Stanford National Forensic Institute offers national caliber summer debate programs for students of any level of experience. The Two Week program is open to all students and is a comprehensive preparation for the upcoming year of competitive debate. The Advanced Seminar is a special lab within the larger Two Week program for advanced debaters who wish to be successful at the highest level of competition. The Three Week program adds an additional week to the standard Two Week program. The Third Week focuses on technique and practice rounds, and gives students the chance to fully integrate the skills they have learned during the first two weeks of camp.

2008 Institute Topic
The LD topic for SNFI 2008 will be announced after the NFL National Tournament in June 2008

Great location
SNFI is held on the campus of Stanford University, located in Palo Alto, CA. Stanford is one of the best universities in the world, and has for several years running ranked in the top five in the annual U.S. News and World Report college rankings. There is no better location to study forensics. The campus, which is set apart from the city of Palo Alto, is safe and secure, and provides a beautiful setting with excellent libraries to study, research and learn. Supervision is provided by an experienced staff which collectively has dozens of previous institute teaching sessions.
