Stanford Invitational Speech & Debate Tournament
Tentative Schedule
SOME REVISIONS TO THE SCHEDULE, PARTICULARLY THE TIMING OF ELIMINATION ROUNDS, MAY BE ON THE 'FINAL' SCHEDULE DISTRIBUTED AT REGISTRATION
Please take a look at our Maps & Locations page for more information on where students and judges should report.
Tournament Schedule: Please plan on the fact that this is a two day tournament for IE's, congress and a three day tournament for debate with mandatory registration on Friday evening for all events. We will not be giving out packets or awards early, and cannot guarantee delivery of missed packets or awards. If you must leave early and cannot adhere to our schedule, please arrange with another school to pick up your awards and packet. Please stay through the Sunday evening awards ceremony.
Important: if you for any reason think you may not be able to attend registration on Friday, you MUST have payment submitted to us in advance by mail, and have otherwise completed ALL forms, as we cannot / will not have a staff person available to go through paperwork with you by phone during registration if you haven't completed all major steps of registration prior to the registration start, including payment. If you do submit payment in advance, and have all paperwork complete, you may complete registration on Friday by phone, but ONLY if these two important conditions are met.
Note: Our goal is to allow the tournament to finish as early as possible so rounds will start earlier when feasible. Be sure to follow the times on the posted schematics, even if they conflict with this TENTATIVE one. Also, please be advised that we may make minor alterations to the schedule prior to or during the tournament, particularly to speed things along if we see an opportunity to do so. We will make every effort to communicate these changes, but please be on the lookout for these changes.
Please be aware that Sunday evening runs fairly late, but if any round would be posted after 10:30 pm, we will roll that elim round over to the next morning at the Santa Clara Marriott.
