Refund Policy
Refunds are provided only with purchase of Cancellation Insurance at time of registration. SNFI incurs several costs from the Stanford University campus, and as a result, we are unable to offer refunds without the purchase of Cancellation Insurance.
Sometimes families must cancel their registration due to unforeseen circumstances and we are unable to issue refunds in such cases. We recommend that families purchase cancellation insurance. This insurance provides a refund (including the normally non-refundable deposit but not the insurance premium itself) if camp enrollment is canceled by written notification prior to the start of the program. No refund is provided if the cancellation request is received after the camp begins. The total fee for the insurance is 8% of the total cost of the program before any discounts. Cancellation insurance can only by purchased on initial application, and cannot be added later. This written cancellation policy is always binding and no verbal communication from SNFI staff can override the written policy. Only Matthew Fraser, the Executive Director of SNFI, can approve a policy waiver. All requests for a waiver must be submitted in writing for his review.
The amount of a refund with Cancellation Insurance is determined by the time of cancellation as outlined below:
